A safe and caring Continuum of Living™ for those we serve.

To provide excellence in care, shelter, and support in a caring Christian environment for all entrusted to our care.

Compassionate Care
Philippians 2:3-4

Looking not to our own interests, but to the interests of others, we will exemplify compassion, kindness, and respect to promote the dignity of every person entrusted in our care.

Excellence in Serving
Galatians 5:22-23

Serving the vulnerable through person-centred care, we will exemplify excellence in fostering servant leadership to demonstrate grace, hope, faith, love, justice, joy, and peace.

Inclusion and Belonging
Genesis 1:26-27

Recognizing God's image in one another, we will foster a sense of belonging while honouring diversity within a caring, inclusive, and collaborative community.

Integrity
Philippians 4:8

Trusting in God's grace, we will honour our commitments of love and service in our decisions and actions.

LutherCare Communities has once again been awarded a three-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF Canada) for our assisted living, independent senior living, community housing, personal supports services, and governance standards.

CARF is an independent, non-profit accreditor of health and human services that enhances the lives of people served worldwide. The accreditation process applies CARF’s internationally recognized standards during a site survey conducted by peer surveyors. In its letter to inform us of our standing, CARF states that “this achievement is an indication of your organization’s dedication and commitment to improving the lives of the persons served. Your organization should take pride in achieving this high level of accreditation”. Its review highlighted numerous areas of strength including leadership, dedicated Team Members, quality of service, the high level of resident satisfaction, strong connection and standing with the business community, our efforts with respect to diversity and inclusion, succession planning, communication between residents and Team Members, the amenities we provide to support seniors, and our actions during the COVID-19 Pandemic.

This is a major achievement for our organization, and it could not have been accomplished without the support of our dedicated Team Members.

As an affiliate of the Sasktchewan Health Authority, Luther Special Care Home is part of the SHA’s commitment to quality and safety, which are evaluated against national standards of excellence. Accreditation helps create better health care for our residents and community, as well as enables an understanding on making better use of our resources, reduce risk and enhance quality and safety.

LutherCare Foundation

Established in 1994, the LutherCare Foundation builds relationships and raises funds to advance the vision and mission of LutherCare Communities. It is through your support that LutherCare can continue to strive for excellence in meeting the needs of those who have been entrusted to our care. The extras that contribute to LutherCare’s legacy of caring include ecumenical spiritual care, social and recreational opportunities, a proactive approach to wellness, and a focus on personal independence and quality of life.

Memorial & Honourary Gifts

A gift In Memory may be made as a lasting tribute to someone departed who was respected and loved. A gift In Honour can be made to commemorate a loved one or friend to mark a milestone or to celebrate a special occasion.

General Gifts

Gifts to the LutherCare Foundation have allowed us to purchase much needed equipment, an accessible bus, and provide renovations and improvements to our many communities in order to enhance the quality of life of our residents.

Planned Gifts

LutherCare Foundation encourages the consideration of making a planned or deferred gift to the organizations that have been important to them throughout their lives. Planned gifts can include bequests, insurance policies, securities, and endowments. Planned giving is a decision today to make a gift in the future.
