May 26, 2016 - Almost 300 supporters attended LutherCare Foundation's 32nd annual Spring Fundraising Dinner.
Board Chair Allan Scholz recognized CEO Vivienne Hauck for reaching her 30th year of service at LutherCare Communities in 2015.

May 11, 2016 - The dining room on the 1st Floor Neighbourhood of Luther Special Care Home in Saskatoon reopened after undergoing renovations for more than two and a half months. The major part of the work was the creation of an open, residential-style kitchen and a self serve refreshment bar. The renovations were paid for by donations, including a bequest from the estate of Ed Decker. LutherCare extends its thanks to all the donors who supported the project and to the many volunteers who assisted with dining services during the renovations.
March 29, 2016 -New flooring was installed in the hallway, dining room and laundry room at Luther Seniors Centre over the Easter weekend. The remaining work inside the Seniors Centre will take place over weekends later in April. The balance of work in other parts of 1800 Alexandra Avenue will take place as donated funds become available. Thanks to our donors for their generous support!
March 6, 2016 -Congratulations to Group Home resident Ron Brandt who won a gold and three silver medals as part of Saskatchewan's snowshoe team at the Special Olympics held in Corner Brook, Nfld. from February 29- March 6, 2016. Ron's times were 00:25.50 in the 100m, 00:52.90 in the 200m, 02:10.10 in the 400m and 05:11.40 in the 800m. Way to go Ron!

Almost 200 people attended LutherCare Foundation's 14th annual Power Breakfast on Thursday, October 8, raising $19,000. Thanks to all! Funds raised at this year's Power Breakfast will support the Flooring Replacement Appeal at Luther Seniors Centre.
August 26, 2015 - Residents, family members, staff and volunteers gathered to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the Luther Tower Intermediate Care Home. Chaplain Greg Fowlie-Neufeld conducted a brief service of thanks and blessing.

August 19, 2015 - Residents, family members and staff of the LutherCare Communities Group Living program gathered at the Forestry Farm Gazebo for the annual family picnic.
August 19, 2015 - LutherCare Communities staff members toured the construction site of LutherCare Village at Stonebridge in Saskatoon. The project remains on schedule due to the mostly favorable weather. Approximately one third of the building has been built to the fourth storey. The fifth storey and roofing membrane are expected to be complete by mid-September. Once the roofing membrane is in place, workers can start installing windows and interior walls. The view to the south looks over Stonebridge Common and Alexander MacGillivray Park. Public and Catholic elementary schools will be built at the north end of the park.

July 2, 2015 - Quilters from King of Glory Lutheran Church in Saskatoon have completed their second Dignity Quilt for use in the Temperance/Munroe Neighbourhoods of Luther Special Care Home. The quilt features a tree - a symbol of life. The Dignity Quilts are used to cover the bodies of residents who have died, for viewing by family as well as when the resident's body makes its final journey through the home.
June 28, 2015 - Favorable weather has allowed Meridian Development to make good progress on construction of LutherCare Village at Stonebridge, the new seniors' housing location at 250 Hunter Road in Saskatoon. June 17, 2015 - Becky Pawlichuk, left, received the 2015 Spirit of LutherCare Award from CEO Vivienne Hauck. The award is presented annually to an employee who exceeds expectations in enhancing the quality of life of residents and co-workers. In addition to her work as Operations Manager for LutherCare's group homes, Becky has taken on extra responsibilities on the Social Committee, Mission Month Committee, Occupational Health and Safety, and Accreditation. Thank you Becky for all you do and congratulations on this well-deserved recognition!
In addition to the 60th of LutherCare Communities, 2015 marks significant anniversaries for several LutherCare departments. The celebration above was for the 20th anniversary of the group home program.
During Mission Month in June, staff members participated in various special events, including hat day.
